"Ocean Explorer" is a versatile commercial vessel currently in survey under the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) with Class 1C and 1D certification, making it suitable for a wide range of passenger operations. Grandfather provision applies, allowing operators who hold existing qualifications or experience under older rules to continue operating under those rules after new regulations come into effect.

Survey & Capability

Class 1C – Near Coastal
Operates offshore up to approximately 30 nautical miles. Suitable for exposed conditions including swell and weather. Ideal for dive charters, whale watching, and coastal ferry work.

Class 1D – Sheltered Waters
Approved for bays, rivers, harbours, and estuaries. Perfect for calm-water operations such as harbour cruises and tours.

The current owner has operated her for 7–8 years running a successful dive business and has since upgraded to larger vessels.

Note: Not currently in survey.
