BOAT ELECTRICAL LIGHTING
Boat electrical and lighting covers everything from the navigation lights you are required to show to the switches, breakers and fans that make a boat liveable. We stock HELLA, Vetus, Quick and Maxwell alongside our own range, in 12V, 24V and multi-voltage fittings built for salt air.
Navigation lights, underwater lights and deck fittings
Navigation lighting is the part with rules attached, and range matters: the NavLight LED 20Mt Tri-White is a 20-metre tri-colour and anchor fitting suited to a cruising yacht. For presence rather than compliance, the HELLA Apelo 1 underwater light in blue and white throws light through the water at anchor, and the HELLA Oblong Step Lamp in stainless marks a companionway step without ruining night vision. On the switching side, the Maxwell 135 Amp Windlass Circuit Breaker and Isolator protects the highest-current circuit on most boats, and the Quick HRC1002 Remote 2 Button Switch puts anchor control where you actually stand.
How do I choose boat lighting and electrical gear that lasts?
Salt air, not use, is what kills marine electrics. That is why fittings are specified by ingress rating and material rather than by brightness or price, and why a stainless or marine-grade polymer housing outlasts a chromed alternative that looks identical on the shelf. Match voltage to your system, size cable to both current and run length so voltage drop does not dim a light at the far end of the boat, and fuse or breaker every circuit close to its source. For interior fittings see cabin and deck lights, for replacement globes see general lighting and bulbs, for the supply side see battery and charging devices, and for instruments see electronics and navigation.
