Our pump range is built around Jabsco and Shurflo, the two brands most Gold Coast boats already run, so replacing a failed unit usually means matching what is already fitted. The Jabsco Hydro Air Bilge Pump Switch is an air-pressure switch with no moving parts in the water, which is why it outlasts a conventional float in a dirty bilge. For transferring fuel, oil or water between tanks, the Jabsco Fuel Transfer Vane Pump 12 Volt and the reversible Jabsco Vane-Puppy Rotary Vane Pump handle the job without a separate priming step. Deck work is covered by the Jabsco Hotshot 6.0 washdown pump kit, which comes with a coiled hose ready to mount.
How do I choose the right bilge pump for my boat?
Size the pump to the bilge it has to clear, then add margin. A pump rated at a given litres-per-minute figure is measured at zero head, and real output drops as soon as it has to lift water up a hose run and through a skin fitting, so a pump that looks generous on paper is often close to adequate once installed. Most boats are better served by a small automatic pump running constantly plus a larger manual-override pump for emergencies than by one big unit. Match the voltage to your system, check the hose diameter before ordering, and pair the pump with a switch from our float switches and strainers range.
