Cabin and deck lights are the difference between a boat you can use after dark and one you cannot. Our range covers 12V and 24V LED interior lighting, cockpit and deck floods, bunk lights and dome fittings, all chosen to handle salt air and to draw little enough current to run off a house battery overnight.
LED cabin, cockpit and deck lighting
Nearly everything we stock is LED now, because the current draw is a fraction of a halogen equivalent and there is no hot filament to shake loose in a seaway. For general cabin light the LED Cabin Light with push on/off needs no separate switch, and the Stainless Steel Dome Lights in LED suit a saloon or a wheelhouse where the fitting is on show. In the cockpit, the LED Cockpit and Interior Light gives a broad wash without glare, and Bunk Lights in brass or chrome put a reading light where it is actually wanted. How do I choose boat lighting that will not flatten the battery?
Work from the current draw, not the brightness. A cabin running four or five LED fittings for an evening at anchor will use a small fraction of what the same fittings would have drawn in halogen, which is what makes overnight stays on battery power practical. Warm white reads better inside a timber or cream interior and preserves night vision at the helm; cool white suits a working cockpit or engine bay. Check the fitting is rated for the voltage you run and for the position it is going in, since an interior fitting will not last on an exposed deck.
