The Rutland 1200 Windcharger Wind Turbine with Regulator - 12V/24V

The new Rutland 1200i 12 volt wind generator starts charging at lower wind speeds generating 3.3 amps in 10 knots of wind.

Low wind speed output in the 8-10 knot range is what counts. The Rutland 1200 delivers at low wind speeds with appreciable output at higher wind speeds as well. Consider that in most cases we select anchorages that are protected from the wind in which case the output at higher wind speeds is not so important. Consider the time spent at anchor versus sailing.

When sailing the apparent wind is typically higher so the additional loads when under way are typically well covered in the 15 to 20 knot range..

If you plan to use your Windcharger with a Lithium battery, please let us know at the time of purchase. Stella can program the Windcharger specifically for Lithium use at no extra cost.

Charge Controller

Included with the wind generator is a charge controller which is suitable for both lead acid and Lithium batteries (always check manufacturers specifications). In the case of Lithium, do not connect the supplied temperature compensation sensor.

Returns policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
