Description

The Vetus BOW PRO is a revolutionary bow thruster platform built around a maintenance-free brushless induction motor — no carbon brushes, no scheduled motor maintenance. The BOWA0574 is the higher-output 48V variant, delivering 57 kgf of fully proportional thrust — suited to larger vessels with electric propulsion systems or 48V DC power supplies. Endurance-rated runtime at reduced power settings, with 10 minutes continuous at maximum thrust.

Controlled via proprietary V-CAN CANBUS digital protocol, the BOW PRO connects to two fully proportional control panels: the basic BPPPA or the BPPJA with lock-and-hold function for easy docking. Electronic switching eliminates mechanical solenoids for improved reliability. Built-in over-temperature and low battery protection make it highly resistant to abuse in demanding manoeuvring situations.

Shares tunnel sizes with existing Vetus thrusters and many other brands — straightforward retrofit. Use original V-CAN connection cables for optimal performance.
