Vetus ALU Series Aluminium Hull Anodes — MIL-A-24779

Sacrificial anode protection is essential for all metal parts below the waterline, regardless of hull material. The Vetus ALU series hull anodes are manufactured from an aluminium-indium-zinc alloy to MIL-A-24779 (SH) specification — the highest standard available. Anodes that do not meet this specification have little or no protective effect.

Aluminium anodes are recommended for vessels operating primarily in fresh water, where aluminium's greater difference of potential with other metals provides superior protection in high-resistance freshwater environments. They also function in saltwater and brackish water, though they are sacrificed at a faster rate in salt. Connection kits are sold separately.

Replace the anode when 50% wasted. Annual inspection recommended.

Connection kits sold separately. ALU08C is a bolt-on type (circular). Studs and bolts for steel, fibreglass, and wooden hulls are supplied separately.

Returns policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
