Description

The Vetus Rimdrive RD160 is a revolutionary gearless electric bow thruster with exceptionally quiet operation. Unlike conventional thrusters, the propeller itself forms the rotor of a permanent magnet synchronous motor, with the fixed stator winding mounted in the tunnel — eliminating gears entirely. A ring around the propeller prevents cavitation, making the Rimdrive one of the quietest thrusters on the market.

The RD160 delivers 160kgf of thrust via a 250mm tunnel and operates at 48V DC. The control panel (BPJP) and interface (RDIF) are ordered separately. Can also be used as a stern thruster.

Returns policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
