Vetus Retractable Swing Thruster - 80 kgf - 12V - Tunnel Dia: 185mm (STE7512D)

The Vetus Retractable Swing Thruster solves the problem of fitting a bow or stern thruster to vessels where a conventional tunnel installation isn't possible — including shallow draft boats, sailboats with a cutaway forefoot, and raised stern configurations. Built around a time-tested Vetus DC thruster, the STE7512D uses a simple, sturdy swing mechanism with permanently lubricated bearings and a minimum of moving parts.

The hull bottom plate is attached directly to the propeller duct and swings in and out with the thruster — no separate mechanism required to open or close it. When retracted, the unit creates slightly less drag than a standard tunnel thruster. Deployment and retraction are fully automatic: the thruster deploys when the control panel is activated and retracts when deactivated or after 15 minutes of inactivity. V-CAN CANBUS digital control allows future integration into boat-wide electronic systems.

Suitable for power and sail boats from 30 to 60 feet. Fiberglass housing and electronic control mechanism included (dashboard panel and cables not included).

Returns policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
